 GingiJuices LLC was founded in 2019 by Odel Arthur and finds its roots in his childhood home in Freetown, Sierra Leone. Odel was only 7years old when he remembers his Grandma and his Auntie making what was called there “ginger beer”. Grandma had her own special recipe, and over the years, he remembered every detail. “I paid special attention to every carefully measured ingredient,” he says. His grandma instructed that everything you put in your body must have a helpful purpose. Thus, every ingredient she used possessed medicinal properties.

At age 19, Odel decided he wanted to market the drink. Following his grandma’s mantra, he created a drink with carefully chosen ingredients that have therapeutic and holistic properties.

Determined not to use artificial additives or preservatives, he crafted a refreshing, delicious beverage curated with ingredients that were known to support increased immunity, relief of cold and congestion, improved digestion, pain relief, and controlled high blood pressure among other things.

Sampled by friends, family, and anyone willing to take a sip, the drink received rave reviews. However, it was just not the right time to introduce this family treasure to the world. He was unable to mass-market the product because of a lack of time and resources.

Fast forward twenty-seven years, and Odel started making the drink at every social gathering he and his wife hosted. The juice once again became the rave and was high in demand. On Thanksgiving Day 2018, one of his friends confirmed the thought that had been milling in his mind for over a year when he said, “Odel, this is so good, why don’t you share it with the world?” and he replied, “You know what, I think I will.”, and GingiJuices LLC was born.
